Easter Prayer Alleluia

Easter Prayer Alleluia. Hymn: One by One - M.T. Winter. Introduction: Faith in the Resurrection of Jesus is a powerful thing, an everyday trust and sense, that there is a deep anchor that is holding everything together. On our part we can engage in our everyday activities knowing that our inadequacies, failings and even our deaths are not the final answer. The power of Easter Day can never be understated. Something radically new appeared at that moment in human history. On Easter morn something radical and new, like when the first creation appeared, dynamism burst into human history with a new energy that still permeates the entire universe

Psalm: Psalm 150

ALL: Alleluia, Our Redeemer has risen from the tomb;

let us sing a hymn of praise.  Alleluia

1)      Praise God in his holy place,

Praise him in his mighty heavens.

Praise him for his powerful deeds,

Praise his surpassing greatness.

2)      O praise him with sound of trumpet,

praise him with lute and harp.

Praise him with timbrel and dance,

Praise him with strings and pipes.

1)      O praise him with resounding cymbals,

Praise him with clashing of cymbals.

2)      Let everything that lives and that breathes

give praise to the Lord.

Glory to you, Source of All-Being…..

Reading: Resurrection power holds an energy that buoys up every moment of life and every aspect of reality. God is always renewing life and undergirding it with a goodness, graciousness, mercy, and love that in the end can heal all wounds, forgive all sins and brings the deadness of the ‘tombs of our own lives’to new life.

*This newness of resurrecting power is found in the ordinary moments of our lives. Our inner awareness that unconsciously: we have a ‘vitality’for life, called our well-being, and our experiences of an ‘inner enthusiasm’that it’s good to be alive. We thrive because there are many to love and share life with.

*This energy for life reflects the regeneration of the cosmos which is continually evolving by rearranging the atoms of the universe and pushes forward blindly from an unknown charged-force. Let us live out of this continuous ‘easter alleluia moment’.

Hymn: This is the Day: Sing together

Petitions: Response: (after the Meal)

With a renewed vitality of the Resurrection that each one of us may faithfully imitate Jesus and radiate the light of Christ to everyone we encounter.

For the rebirth of the world community: that Christ’s victory over death may bring hope and healing to all who are burdened by poverty, disease, prejudice and fear.

For the those who are grieving, that as they grieve the passing of their loved one, that they may find hope and peace in Christ who is the Resurrection.
